Local Is Focal
Our Cooking Safari is a new and exciting, all-inclusive alternative to learning to cook in Tuscany or France. Learn to cook in Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands, Africa’s premier culinary and wine destination. Aside from its breath-taking scenic beauty, the Franschhoek Valley has the highest concentration of farm to table farms where you can source all the ingredients of the meal you’re cooking locally.
During the day, discover why Franschhoek is regarded as one of the most beautiful destinations in the world, pick fresh herbs for a garden salad, understand how the smoking process works to be able to smoke your own sweet potato , forage for mushrooms or blend your own wine , amongst other nourishing experiences.
In the late afternoon, enjoy learning and cooking a sensational meal of your own, using the knowledge and ingredients you’ve sourced throughout the day while sipping on locally produced wine.
For novice enthusiasts or seasoned cooks, Cooking Wild is a world first, fully immersive African culinary experience.
