Arrival & Introduction
- Meet at the base of Table Mountain where you’ll be greeted by your experienced guide.
- A safety briefing and hike overview will be provided before we begin.
Ascend Platteklip Gorge (15 minutes)
- The hike starts with a gradual climb up Platteklip Gorge, Cape Town’s most famous hiking route.
- While steep and rocky, the ascent is manageable with short breaks to hydrate and take in the view.
Transition to the Contour Path
- After 15 minutes of climbing, we leave the steep ascent behind and move onto the Contour Path, a relatively flat trail with stunning views of the Atlantic Seaboard.
- This portion of the hike allows for relaxed walking, taking photos, and appreciating the mountain’s natural beauty.
Hike to Kloof Corner
- The trail leads to Kloof Corner, an iconic viewpoint offering uninterrupted views of the City Bowl, Camps Bay, the 12 Apostles, and Table Bay.
- Enjoy a well-earned break here, take in the breathtaking landscape, and capture some incredible photos.
Descent Towards the Cable Car Station
- After soaking in the views, we begin a gradual descent toward the Cable Car station, making the return trip easier on the legs.
- Participants can choose to end the hike at the Cable Car station or continue walking back down to the starting point.
Wrap-Up & Departure
- The group will regroup for a brief recap and farewell from the guide.a
- Those taking the Cable Car down can do so at their own expense.
